Sign-Up for a Gilman Info and Advising SessionsGilman Scholarship Info Session RSVPNYU Gilman Study Away Advisors will lead info sessions for students interested in applying for the Gilman Scholarship.Students will learn the basics of the Gilman Scholarship, including eligibility criteria, the application process, requirements of the award, and available resources to help you with your application. We will also go over how to write strong application essays! Once you have attended a session, meet with a Gilman Adviser to review your application. Students are encouraged to attend an Info Session (scroll to top of page) prior to advising meeting to learn about general eligibility, requirements and the application process. Office of Global AwardsThe Office of Global Awards supports undergraduate students and alumni applying for a select number of nationally-competitive, merit-based fellowships, scholarships, and internships. In association with the NYU Changemaker Center, they assist students by hosting information sessions, leading development programs, holding one-on-one advising sessions, and running the University's nomination process for opportunities that require university endorsement. The Office of Global Awards will host virtual Gilman Writing Workshop Series and essay advising thtoughout the month of Feburary. Each session includes unpacking the essay prompts, writing activities to help address them, and what readers need to see to develop competitive essays for the program.
